HOPE FOR<\/u><\/em> | JOY<\/u> | FOUNDATION-AFRICA<\/u><\/em><\/a> <\/span><\/p>\n

KASESE \u2013 Hope for joy Foundation Africa living 50kms away from Muhokya resettlement camp in Kasese district got to know about the replaced people are grappling with lack of food and scrambled for cassava flour during the distribution exercise by one of the heartfelt fellow. <\/b>They lack basic needs and food following the floods that ravaged their homes in March\/June 2023.<\/b><\/p>\n

The river banks of Nyamwamba burst, causing floods that ravaged homes of the occupants living along the valley, Kilembe Mines, and health facilities as well as schools<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is exactly two years since they w<\/span>ere displaced by floods and government resettled them at Muhokya camp seven kilometers away from Kasese town leaving them at the mercies of good Samaritans to donate food.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The Office of the Prime Minister in the beginning months gave them food ratio mainly posho and beans but as time went by the support dwindled, <\/b>When we visited the camp, the flood victims are living in mud and grass thatched temporal structures with some covered with tumplines. <\/b>The women scrambled for cassava flour given by them from good Samaritans during the distribution exercise.<\/b><\/p>\n

The women pushed each other with some carrying their babies in order to get potion of  cassava flour, <\/b>According to Christopher<\/u>, the leader of the Hope for joy Foundation, living in 25-30 MINUTES drive away from the camps is miserable as the flood victims lack food, don\u2019t have gardens to plant crops but are only depending on well\u00ad-wishers who provide food and other essential items.<\/b><\/p>\n

 Children\u2019s haven\u2019t been able to go school since the schools opened  on 29th<\/sup>\/ May\/ 2023 due to lack of tuition and scholastic materials , but the essential part is food , health and later academics.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI have written this article to meet anyone willing to support, donate foods, blankets, mattresses and any other essential items at camp. Am so grateful and commended efforts made by the charity organizations to support the flood victims.<\/b><\/p>\n
