For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ These outreaches are in the form of school outreaches, and health camps, hospital outreach, Sensitization, and Biblical awareness which are set in different communities with the intention of reaching the community members. This is another way to tap our Vision of empowering our generation. It enables us to extend our generosity and love of God to people in our communities and thereby be a motivation to many hurting lives.
Hope For Joy Foundation Africa is a Non-Government Organization operating in Uganda and an indigenous humanitarian Based Organization which started in 2015 as a Community Outreach, and in 2014 it was registered as a Community Based Organization(CBO) with 07 helpless children from remote families. Later the charity foundation was legalized and transformed into a national center (NGO) in 2015 currently with 25 children.
Over the past decade, the number of orphans and vulnerable children living in Uganda has been escalating at an alarming rate. In 2004, the number of orphans was estimated to be 1.8 million; in 2009 that number had grown to nearly 2.6 million. Over one million of those children have lost their parents.
